I thought it would be another mediocre event because I work in a water biome already, so an increase in water mon didn't interest me. I was wrong...

10. A lot of Magikarp and Marills (I skipped a lot of these)
11. I bypassed a lot of Psyducks and Tentacools too

This was about 1.5 hr of playing only....

Maybe you shouldn't have bypassed the Magikarps. One might have been shiny...

Yah, didn't know about Shinys until I got back and logged in GP... We got a week of hunting anyway...

Let's hope they do not end it sooner :D
Just checked my radar:
Lanturn, 2 Octillery, Squirtle and 2 Magicarps nearby. That's not that amazing but I'm not yet near the lake where I get my water mons from. I'll give you an update from my tour tomorrow then.

Are you running known water spawns or group spawns that are not usually heavy water spawns or both?

I went down the piers in SF, known water spawns. Typically, get tentacools, psyducks, magikarps... it's been a marill nest lately. Lucky if you spot 1-2 dratini in this route in a normal day.
