special 2k eggs changing by the day?

During the pink/valentine event, people said the spawn rates were changing day to day (more eggs, then more jiggly...) and I thought so too.
Now the 2km eggs, my first 5 on the first day hatched 4 mareeps, now I'm getting Tyrogues and so are youtubers...
Any thoughts?

Wish I could get more 2k eggs. I've only had 2 since the start. I keep getting 10k eggs (a lot more than I got before the event).

Extremely random. Two days ago I got 6 10k i a row, today 6 2k out of 8, other two 5k.

They've been streaky (a run of 2-3 of the same at times), but still more or less random overall.
