Sooo... how did December CWE go for you?

30 shinies for me, 4 new perfect mons and almost a million stardust. Now I die for the rest of the week. Hope you all could fill holes in your lineups and got a lot of shinies!
I really enjoyed feeling a lot less pressured by the time constraint. All community days should become community weekends IMHO.

30 SHINIES?! Dude you went hardcore.

I agree that community days should become community weekends, it feels much more enjoyable as opposed to being pressured to catch everything in sight.

I got 4 shinies: 2 eevees, 1 dratini, 1 larvitar, and was able to fill some holes in my raid coverage (mostly by acquiring more dragonites and ttars).

There were a couple of times where I would get 3-5 shinies in a row, especially during the bonus hours and right before it ended. Day 1 I already had encountered one of each shiny except for Chikorita but that got fixed right away on Saturday.

One shiny, a Mareep, which I didn't already have, but shinies aren't a huge deal for me.

Lots of candies for powering up my CD pokemon.

Three new SD T-tars; one each of MM Metagross, FP Venusaur, BB Charizard, and DM Dragonite.

I don't think I caught a single Chikorita all weekend, and I can probably count the Cyndaquils on one hand. Saw them, ignored them. Not many Squirtles or Pikachus either.

Spent more stardust than I obtained, but I didn't play much during the double stardust hours, and didn't use any star pieces.

I didn't really play much more than normal, but I did like the event for the opportunity to farm hard-to-obtain candy, and evolve a few more pokemon with CD-exclusive moves.

I also went a little overboard with the Metagross. Now I am the proud owner of 29 of them

Didn't have that much time to play aside from the 3h window, but I now have 20 SD Ttars and 28 MM Metagross and enough candy left over to finish maxing my teams of 6 of both of them if I need to. Being able to evolve at any point during the weekend was great.

13 new shinies I think. Most of them will go to the professor since they're worthless for trades in my area.

Didn't get to play a lot (caught maybe 150-200ish Pokemon over the whole weekend, but had candy + good IV mons stored for 2 FP Venusaur, 2 BB Charizard (these 4 weren't needed as they're barely used anyway but they were upgrades nonetheless), 3 MM Metagross (needed these so much to complete a team of 6 as I didn't get to play during Beldum CD and only had candy to evolve 3), and 2 SD Tyranitar. And I got 2 shiny Pikachu (and quite a couple of other meaningless ones, no Beldum sadly) of which I had none despite playing during the Pikachu CD AND in Dortmund...

All in all, I was glad they did a recap and hope they keep the format of 3+1h CD throughout Jan-Nov and a recap weekend in Dec (recap for ALL previous CD Pokemon).

Shout out for community weekends! Much much better imo, plenty of great catches, shinies & more importantly, didn't feel the pressure of past CD's. Caught up on the CD mons I missed out on due to work, great stuff 👍

I loved the idea that it's the whole weekend and a small window for the bonuses. It just all makes much more sense and it's much more enjoyable, while you can still talk to people that way.

Personally I couldn't really play hardcore, so it was more like any other day. Go+ sucked hell because the catch rates were not adjusted outside of the 3-hour window.

Finally I got a use for my lucky babies (Charizard, Venusaur, Blastoise), a few more shinies (5 in total), loads of Dratini and Larvitar candy that I always struggle to get for my 98+ IV mons. I even tried a Tyranitar duo with my son for the first time and as a shortcut to Smack Down. Not much stardust, but definitely better than grinding without events (100k or so).

Personally I'm quite disappointed... True that I didn't really have much time to spend this weekend... But all I got...

1 new FP Venusar (using a lev 15)
1 new BB Charizard (using and old high level)
1 new MM Metagross (caught)
1 shiny Pikachu (I missed it)
1 shiny Larvitar (I missed it)

I wanted the other shinies too but too difficult with this CD weekend... The percentages were too low to hope to catch them easily like in the previous CDs...

Congrats with your great achievements!
I think the weekend format is great as it allowed me to play in between other activities, I cannot play for long periods of time. I caught a handful of shinies, but none that I developed further. I obtained my second perfect Larvitar, which I developed to an SD Tyra. But the best was the possibility to develop all my previously prepared Mons, many of them luckies. I am a little low on candies for several of them, but will eagerly await the next trading event, Christmas would be just perfect for that!

I did not do any intensive playing. 2 walks into low density spawns and living on a Pokéstop.
5 shinies were more than I expected (nicely distributed: Squirtle, Larvitar, Chikorita, Eevee L35! and Dratini) I did not evolve anything new though.

Got to play an ok amount. Got 2 shiny dratini and one shiny larvitars would was PvP 25 with 93 IV. He was evolved and got SD/SE so I was ecstatic. I missed Charmander day so I have 3 BB now. Also made 1 Metagross, 1 Ampharos, 3 Venusaur, and a second Ttar. I also kept enough Beldum candy to continue powering up my 4.

My goal was to get some shiny charmander (got three) and get 700 Dratini candy so I can finish maxing 6 Dragonites. I got a total of 800 Dratini candy, plus 40 Dratini left to trade. ***Started with 3 maxed Dragonite...the next three were luckies with high IV and were starting from level 30.

It was sunny/clear all 58 hours, so that helped with larvitar and many of the starters.

75 larvitar left to trade and 60 Beldum left to trade for candy. I ended up with 10 shiny and 12 luckies of varying value.

What possible use do you have for six Dragonites?

Up

I have more than that, but these 6 will be maxed—really close to finishing. After that any other dratini candy I get can be harvested to additional Dragonites and I can trade them to another account.

Well I never asked how many you have, but why you have so many.
I see you're a multi-accounter as well.

Short manning raids? Or maybe crushing gyms in windy weather? Maybe you could place them in gyms and use them as a nice bulky defenders? Or maybe he doesn’t want to suck?

I did trio Cresselia this morning 1 sec left on clock. Lucky it was PC/Aurora Beam. My account has 58k catches...other two have a combined 13k, carrying happens a lot.

Which raid do you need to "short-man" at the current time?
Dragonites as bulky defenders? Eeeeeh

My story sounds kinda lame compared to your results, but I met my main objectives and beyond, so that's enough for me :) I played a total of 2h30-3h spread over the week-end (including 30+min in the bonus time slot), plus random catches when walking here and there.

I couldn't play much during Larvitat and Beldum days, so I only got one of each with the special attack and was in dire need of candies (hard to find people to raid Ttars here, when I do find Ttar raids to begin with...). So my goal was to get at least on more of each and then farm candies to power them up. In the end, I came out of the event with just over 250 candies for each. It was too tempting :) I already had a good IV evolved of each but they were stuck at lvl 27-28. I opted to evolve in each species a battle ready high level one (boosted lvl 34 Tyra !) and then I evolved my one and only shiny Larvitar and my lucky lvl 25 not-so-good IVs Beldum. The last two are not that good, but I've been wanting for that shiny for a while and considering the lucky, well, better evolve now and use it later than letting it rot right? It would be a shame to leave a lucky one!

For the other species, I evolved a 3rd FP Venusaur, don't need more so I kept the candies for power-ups. I didn't plan on getting another BB Charizard (already got 5 and barely use the 5th), but I got a 89% with 15A boosted at lvl 33 and enough candy so that was tempting... Dratini candy were farmed as much as possible, although I kept my pinaps for Larvitar and Beldum.

Didn't care about the rest. I caught some when I was using a star piece and no interesting pokémon was near. Probably caught just one Mareep and zero Chikorita.

Bad results on the shiny front though. Only one in the whole week-end: Cyndaquil :( Still no Pikachu or Bulbasaur in my collection.

In the end, I'm very satisfied of the results of this week-end. Shame I couldn't get a shiny Bulba, but I got the complements I needed for my attackers :)

1 Dragonite (lucky)
1 Charizard
2 Ampharos
2 Venusaur (1 lucky)
1 Metagross (weatherboosted 96%)

1 shiny Chikorita
1 female Pikachu
No Eeveelutions or Blastoise

I was SO excited for this community day, but mine didn't go as well as I wanted. For some reason larvitars, beldums, charmanders and dratinis avoided me like the plague and the ones I did get all had low IVs. Though I did get an overabundance of squirtles, eevees, mareep and pikachu. Lots of chikorita and bulbasaurs too. I guess it was because it was raining almost constantly where I lived, but that bummed me out.

On the plus side got my first hundred IV pokemon (mareep) and found two new shinies: mareep and chikorita, and a shiny bulbasaur. Sadly, I could only participate the first day cause life got in the way, so couldn't get other pokemon (i.e. tyranitar, charizard and metagross). Reading other players' post it seems I got unlucky. :(

I couldn't play at all on Saturday. Zero extra dust for me.

I managed to play a bit the next day and got 4 shinies, 1 dratini, 2 bulbasaur, 1 chikorita. Evolved some extra good IV of a few candidates. Overall I missed the stardust boost, which is the only I was willing to pursue.

The weather was absolutely horrid for Saturday and Sunday between the harsh wind and rain below 40 degrees freedom units. As a result I wasn't able to get nearly as much candy as I would have liked but I earned enough to patch up some evolutions I needed more of, namely Venusaur. I ended up being very picky in what I chose to evolve and ultimately didn't touch almost anything below 90%. Ball conservation was ridiculous, I burned through everything I had.

My lucky game was off the charts - between my fiancee and I we must have gotten over a dozen luckies this weekend and didn't hit the daily 100 trade limit on either day. Also scored about a dozen shinies, which was nice.

All in all it was pretty great. The only other thing I could have asked for was better weather.

Had a pretty good weekend overall, even though the Pokémon I caught that were actually worth powering up were all Mareep. (Seriously, I caught like 5 Mareep that were 90%+ and Attack 15.) But I managed to get 500+ Larvitar candies (and did the ONE Tyranitar raid that popped in the entire weekend. Seriously Niantic?), 600+ Beldum candies, and 600+ Charmander candies and was able to evolve a whole bunch of level 33-35's for future trading.

As for Shinies, I'm very glad that I wasn't hunting for Shinies because I only caught two - the ONE Eevee I intentionally tapped on during the entire weekend and I got a Shiny, and a Level 1 Beldum. No Charmander Shinies, no Larvitar shinies, no Mareep shinies, just the 1 Beldum and the 1 Eevee. (I'm kind of glad I didn't catch many because I have a stupid hang-up about transferring Shinies. I have so many Dratini and Eevee and the like that I know I should transfer and get out of my inventory, but they're shhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnyyyyyyy.....)

Although I was looking out for it, I didn't see a single Tyranitar raid during the whole CD weekend, strange..

I really can‘t complain, got a total of 19 shinys, which is pretty good for my usual luck. 14 of those were caught during the 3 hour bonus window, one of them was a 96% Dratini, got non-shiny 96% Larvitar and Beldum otherwise, got at least one shiny Squirtle (during it‘s CD, I only got 4 sunglass shinys which bugged me), and one of the shinys was a shiny Misdreavous, which I got out of the first „Transfer 10 Pokemon“ quest I stummbled upon yesterday. The only 2 I didn‘t get a shiny of were Eevee and Chikorita, but I got enough of them on their CDs, so it wasn‘t all that bad. So all in all, the CWE was pretty good for me.

Didn't play that hard, but got 30 shinies - 20 during the 3 hour event, four just after it ended and six on sunday.

No great shiny ones and hardly any good regular ones either. Did get a 98% Cresselia and hatched a 100% Magby though.

Not sure how much dust I got during the weekend, but 42k during the three hour event, which wasn't much, but I didn't use any Star piece at all this weekend.

Evolved perhaps ten Pokemon to get the special moves, though most of them to have to trade in the future.
I also tried to stay above 1000 candies for all the CD Pokemon, though I dipped under that on a couple in the end.

The event on saturday wasn't as fun as CD usually is. For some reason I could hardly sleep the night before so I was exhausted during the day. Also, the place where I played were packed with people.
