something about Gyarados
It is generally considered that Gyarados is inferior to top water mon (like Vaporeon / Omaster) due to the lack of water quick move.
My question is:
What if, in the future (say after Gen3 is launched), Gyarados can learn a water quick move, will it be able to rival Vaporeon ?
Discuss. (Asking this just because I'm a big fan of Gary)

Much higher attack stat, slightly less bulk. In this meta it would probably be a clear favorite over Vaporeon if it had any half-decent water type fast move.
With Bubble/Hydro Pump it looks like Gyarados would have close to enough damage for soloing Flareon even without energy gain from taking damage taken into account.
Answering because I'm a big fan of Gary, actually made an account just for this. Here's to hoping Niantic throws us a bone with this one.
