It really doesn't matter.
And this isn't really good news, it just fakes you out as good news.
As far as data looks, egg color has nothing to do with rarity. A pokemon could be 1/247 (or whatever the new total is) or 4/247 or 8/247
So if Gligar is still same, you will get the same number of Gligars.
Worse, though, Lower Eggs = Less Xp, Less Dust = quicker to hatch/turn over.
So while it "Feels" better because a Purple Egg won't give you junk as often, you will get less Purple Eggs.
And hatching 2 Orange Eggs might be the same xp as hatching 1 purple BUT it takes 2 incubator uses.
So if anything less 10k are bad news, not good news.
It does help trainers, because we can pick and choose what color eggs we use our incubators on. At the moment, I am using the infinite incubator for 2k eggs first, and then 5k's if I don't have any 2k's. I only use limited incubators for 10k eggs. So, now I won't be wasting coins buying incubators for Gligars and Mantines.
Maybe you should look in the mirror....
I never said you were "wrong" either.
I just put out my opinion that because the way the random works is they
Roll the Random of the Pokemon
Then determine what color the egg is.
That egg color doesn't really matter. It does make you feel better that you won't get five of 9 10ks being Gligar. But you still would have had the same 5 gligars. They would just be in Orange Eggs not Purple Eggs.
