Soloing raid bosses

HI,

I'm a solo player as I don't have time to go around and find raid bosses to play with others... So I'm trying to get the best out of the pokemons I have to win raids...

How can I calculate the most effective pokemons I have against a specific raid boss?

Here I found lists of counters, but as solo is almost impossible to have legendaries... So how can I calculate how effective a pokemon will be against a specific raid boss?

Is there any formula for it?

This one is a great one if you have a rough idea of your lineup. Could mean the difference between picking an Espeon over an Alakazam for example, if you have the mons but not the dust.

Start spoofing. There is a group on Facebook.
You can only solo certain Tier 3 bosses, but none of the Tier 4 bosses are soloable.

Right now I used something like (Fast*damage caused + charged*damage caused)+(CP+PS)... I mean something like this but maybe someone knows a more accurate/afficient formula...

And on the result I choose which attackers to use against a boss, but I think that CP/PS affect too much the result...

You need to do much more advanced calculations to know if you are able to solo a boss. The damage pokemon deal gets modified by a few things and isn't just the power you see on the move.

Pokebattler.com is the best resource for this, it has a separate tab for raids, where you can check the top counters to that type of raid. Anything with a Time to Win below 170 seconds and less than 6 deaths (or >100% power) is a safe option. It can be a bit convoluted to use the site but you should be able to figure it out. There are also videos on youtube with more detailed instructions about how to correctly use pokebattler.

Use Breakpoint Calculator here at Gamepress and use Pokebattler too.

In other words... How much in your opinion does his CP affect the fighting ability? As his moveset? Like 50 moves 50 CP... Or 30 moves 70 CP?

Take Golem as raid boss... Is it more woth using a Dragonite with 3446 CP and a 150 Hyper Ray or a Rhydon with 2880 CP and a 120 Earthquake?

CP by itself doesn't mean anything. Blissey has one of the highest (non-legendary) CPs in the game yet it's a horrible damage dealer against anything. And then there's Piloswine which doesn't even break 2500cp at max level and is one of the highest damage attackers against dragon types.

As for your example, the Dragonite would deal not very effective damage with a move that's not great and lacks same type attack bonus. The Rhydon would absolutely be a better choice.

However cp reflects level and with low level good mons, you're not gonna get anywhere. See level 30 mons as a baseline for solo'ing tier 3 bosses.

OK,

in fact working as solo I'm trying to get a team to fight each boss, made of pokemon giving 1.4/1.96 damage with their moves, and not getting 1.4/1.96 from the moves of each raid boss...
