How hard is it to solo a gengar raid boss?

The easiest tier 3.
Just get a team of any of these:
1: Tyranitar with Bite
2: Alakazam with Futuresight/Shadow Ball
3: Espeon wih Futuresight
4: Gengar with Shadow Ball
5: Dragonite without Hyperbeam (preferably Outrage)

Sludge Bomb is the easiest charge move. Focus blast is not too hard either.

The easiest T3 is not Gengar. I'll say Gengar and Alakazam are of similar cases (high ATK high DEF low STM), but it all depends on what you have.
Easiest is Machamp or Vape.

Sta doesn't count for raid bossess since they have fixed hp based ont the raid tier, so a snorlax raid has the same hp as a Charizard raid

I think your second comment is correct "depends on what you have". But overall I've had more success vs. Gengar by a wide margin. He's the only boss I can beat with ~20 seconds left and no attacker is higher than LV 31. All others are down to the wire (but haven't done Machamp in a while).

If you've got 2 or more B/C or B/SE tyranitars around lv 30, it should be a cake walk. Ttar resists both fast moves and 2/3 charge moves, but Focus Blast is easily dodgable. He also does SE damage with one of the highest attack stats around.
