Soloing DP machamp in cloudy weather

Cloudy weather is very common where I live. I can consistently solo all machamp movesets, but now with the weather update I don't think my team is good enough for DP in cloudy weather. So I'm thinking how to tweak my team for it as a cool challenge. My team today is Mewtwo C/ShB, zam PC/FS, Espeon C/FS, Espeon C/P, dragonite DT/H, Dragonite DT/O. All level 30 or a bit above. With this team I solo DP with ~15-20 sec left and half health on my last dragon.
I think that with the weather boost I need more bulk. I don't have another dragonite with hurricane and I tmed all my eggys to double grass for omastar. The obvious and fastest solution will be to add lugia or Ho as tank, but I don't want to spend RC on them.
Other options I was thinking of:
- Gardevoir C/DG (Definitely the best option with double resist to DP and DG also boosted in cloudy weather) will probably take some time to get.
- gengar H/SlB (triple resist and SlB also boosted by weather making it better than ShB). easy enough to get but not sure it will be good enough.
Other ideas will be welcomed.
Thanks.

Lugia is always king for machamp! Great to have one handy especially now with the weather update. If you have a great one then I'd invest in it and it will make a very good contribution in a machamp raid, even a level 30 one. It will cost some RC as you mentioned but I think it is well worth it.

Agreed. It's got a few nice resistances and is also very potion-efficient, meaning you can sweep gyms with minimal potion cost in the event that you're running low on potions.

Sunny here and I got Close Combat this morning--I included C/SoB and won with 38sec left...immediately transferred double steel 1584, probably worth the extra effort needed

That might explain why my team of Eggy failed against Omastar in the rain (and it rarely ever rains here...) - in the last few seconds. Omastar of course is a water type, and weather was favorable (to add insult to injured pride, I forgot my umbrella and got soaked... on my lunch break).

But it's usually sunny here in Florida, and my team will be ready for the next one :)
