Soloing an Alakazam

I've tried against a FS and a FB Kazam and got him down to a sliver. You just run out of time. I think one with Psychic could work but does he even get that move anymore?

I used 2 Gengars (SC/SB, SC/SB) and 3 T-Tars (2 B/SE, B/C). This was against FS. FB just mows through your T-Tar's like crazy.

Yeah, he's tough. Have you experimented with Scizor, Pinsir and Houndoom?

My double bug Scizor's are too weak right now and Houndoom gets one shot since he doesn't max out very high. I'm saving dust until Chicago otherwise I'd max one Scizor out and search out a Shadow Ball Kazam.

Yup, Alakazam does not get Psychic any more. Shadow Ball would be the best move to face, Tyranitar resists Ghost moves.

All the level 3 raids are much harder than any level 2. I tried Machamp recently and my six were mowed down by Dynamic Punch. But Muk was easy using only 3 Mud Slab / Earthquake Rhydons.

Agreed, Tyranitar B/SE B/C is listed as the "Supreme Counter" for Alakazam, but that's not the case if the Alakazam has Focus Blast.
