Solo alakazam C/FB?

Am I able to solo C/FB with this team? If not, in which mons should I invest stardust? Consider TMs and stardust irrelevant because I can always aquire more. Already have 28 FTMs and 14 CTMs. 300.000 dust.

Initial thoughts;
- Power up the 3124 cp Tyranitar to level ~35 for extra survivability.
- Max a second Gengar.

And as always, thanks for the help!

You don't need maxed Gengars. With good hp and def IV a level 30 Gengar is enough. Powering up more Tyranitars help, but you should already be fine with 2 maxed.

What I think you need is just another Gengar that can take 3 Confusions and live. Depending on the IVs, I'd either power up the 76% SC Gengar to that point or TM the 96% Gengar.

You might already be able to do it with that team, but Tyranitar's DPS suffers in C/FB so I'd add the Gengar just to be safer.

Unfortunately, the 2171 Gengar is 15-14-5 and the one with 2076cp is 13-11-0. To what level should I power up the 76%? Furthermore, should my team include 2 Gengars and 4 Tyranitars or 1 Gengar and 5 Tyranitars? Or maybe even 3 Tyranitars and 3 Gengars?

Never been more unsure about a level 3 raid

I think 2 Gengars 4 Tyranitars is the best balanced team. 3 Gengars 3 Tyranitars can be used to go for a better clear time but it's riskier.

I ran the simulation and the 2171 Gengar seems to actually be able to handle 3 Confusions already, with exactly 1 hp left. I thought that particular bulkpoint was higher, but sims don't lie. So just go with that one and you should be good to go.

Don't put Gengar first because the boss uses the double attack at the start. You need to hit 2 Shadow Balls with both Gengars, which should happen exactly if they eat 3 Confusions and just spam attack. If the boss uses FB against Gengar before you've hit 2 Shadow Balls, you should dodge it.

"If they eat 3 Confusions and just spam attack", you mean that i can just spam SC without dodging at all, and still be able to fire of 2 ShBs in the short life span that Gengar has?

thanks for the help!

Yes, that's what I mean. Taking so much damage from Confusion builds a lot of energy. If you dodge the Confusions you may be able to get off 3 Shadow Balls.

Gengar cannot really do much against Confusion! You will need 4 high level Ttars and need to dodge with precision!

Exact same cp as my maxed Gengar, was able to deliver two ShBs. With proper dodging Confusion, i think i could manage three. Ofcourse an undodged FB will result in a KO for any Tyranitar of any level. However I already did H/FB gengar with only Tyranitars to see how hard it is to dodge. Luckily never missed one dodge so I am comfortable that it will be the same with Alakazam

But for Alaxazam, you cannot dodge dodge dodge like to Gengar, dodge too much you will time out!

If you only use 4 Tyranitars, why not improve your DPS with 2 Gengars also in the team? I use 2 against C/FB and C/FS and couldn't be happier with them. Die fast but the DPS is through the roof, they deal about 11% of boss HP in less than 15 seconds.

When I will try it, i have 2 maxed Tyranitars, one level 35, and two around level 30. Makes 5 total. When I do not succeed with 4 Tyranitars and 2 Gengars, I will TM the fifth Tyranitar from SE to C, that should then do the trick :)

Put Gengar in the second slot to be safe.
