I prefer leaf blade, petal blizzard, and power whip over solar beam. Solar beam takes a good amount of time to power up and I always found myself getting KOd before it would fire. You also don't have to worry about overkill like you do with solar beam. Just to add, I never dodge quick attacks, only 1 and 2 bar charge attacks.

Ran some battles with all the moves and found that leaf blade and petal blizzard are better if you try to dodge all the moves where solar beam is better if you try to dodge the charge attacks
Anyone else have similar results?

Like this site says, Victreebel is a glass-cannon. It's going to do better damage, but can't take the hits, luckily, leaf blade is quicker than petal blizzard. I prefer leaf blade, but I roll with my Venusaur because I don't dodge quick attacks, so I like his extra bulk. That is more of a game play issue and what fits your style.
