So it sems word around the area is that I'm a spoofer.

Strange, I walk the park almost every day, fight gyms and take them, do solo raids, I see people who also play around sometimes, but somehow people think I spoof. Strange. I'll have to discuss this with whoever turns up at the EX Raid tomorrow.

Hmm, maybe because you are present in gyms, but never talk to anybody? They see this name around, but no actual person to associate it with. All the more reason to set the record straight by going out of your comfort zone a little bit and trying to talk to people when you get to the EX raid.

I am really hoping for you to have a positive EX raid experience, and look forward to reading about how it went.

Well at least 1 person knows me now. But I'm sure there are at least 3 more who have seen me take gyms and do T1-T3 raids and could confirm my active gym taking/raiding if they will be present there, as I have walked right past them.

Some ways to prove that you are not a spoofer could be:

1. Show that you are not currently shadow banned/red warned.
2. Show that you have not stock pilled a ridiculous amount of potions/revives.
3. Show that you have not stock pilled a ridiculous amount of hard to get candies (like snorlax, chansey or even better the most recent ones like bagon and beldum).
4. Show that you have not traveled across the planet in a few hours.

These 4 steps should cover the typical spoofer behavior (resources and Pokemon hording). I think 3. and 4. are the strongest ones. You might even challenge whoever accuses you to go through these 4 steps as well.

1 will be easy.
2. I'm actually running out of potions anyway, revives at times feel ridiculous even when having 70 of them.
3 will be easy, I am in need of candy for a lot of those mons and barely got my first ever Snorlax last week.
4 I'd have a Kangaskan, Tauros, Corsola and Tropius by now if that were the case, all I got is the event Farfetch'd.

There are at least 3 other people who have been around while I was taking a gym or raiding but idk if they'll vouch for me, as I never talked to them. One of them is a guy who waited for me to take a gym and then slotted his pokemon as soon as I left.

search other players of your area on Facebook, Whatsapp or Telegram. I live in a small city in Italy, and played alone for months.... when Legendary Raids came, I searched on Facebook and came in touch with a player, who introduced me in a Whatsapp group. Then we created all together a group on Telegram. We're coordinating gyms, we raid together, pushed EX passes on 7 gyms in our town, etc....
It's really fun and I think it's the ultimate goal of this game. And of course it's the best way to blow away those rumours on you.

I don't want to give Whatsapp my phone number, I'd rather join Discord groups if there are any, or at least will try to keep in touch with the raiders on Facebook. I've been told of a newer group that's more active. And yeah can't wait to see them be like "So YOU are Detonatress?!"

this happenned to me last summer. I took down gyms at night, sometimes midnight, but ppl didn't see me so words around was that I was a spoofer.

Well, the same can be said of the other guy who took down my gym at 1am. I didn't see him either, but he asked if I was a spoofer during raids. Son of a B*!!

And sometimes I try to hide myself. I don't really want others to know that I'm playing PoGo, especially in a society where ppl expect you to do certain things, instead of playing games.

I play during broad daylight, and almost every day. I pass them by but I don't talk because I feel like I'd annoy them. And yeah we got some major jerks here who mock us, invade our reddit to cuss at us, steal players' phones, etc.

I've seen a girl and a boy take a gym together. I've seen 2 girls raid together and I've allowed them to take the the T1 boss, so I went on private but I sat on a bench on the other sidewalk in front of them. And another dude was in 2 places where I've taken gyms and then as soon as I walked away he put his mons in those gyms too (same team). I've once seen raiders on an island but they were done raiding, and another time raiders who finished an Entei raid around a fountain I tend to pass by often. Also a girl who took my gym as soon as I put a Shiny raichu in it at a museum. But nobody dared approach me, and I'm a chicken. I hope I'll see at least one of them there, they might recognize me.

A simple question: since you don't seem to have any contacts with your local groups, how do you know that some people think that you are a spoofer?

On a side note, I might as well add that even if that is the case, as long as you are not a spoofer, they cannot possibly have any hard evidence against you and therefore cannot be certain no matter how suspicious it may seem at first glance. So I think you should be okay.

Oh, and they can check some of your stats in the raid lobby (lvl, pkmn caught, kms, battles won). If there's nothing suspicious about your stats, all the more reason to believe that you are not in fact a spoofer.

I was always part of a Facebook group, I wrote about the Ex Raid there, and one person contacted me and said "Just curious, do you spoof? Word around the group is that you're a total spoofer." But he doesn't know any details as to why they think I am a spoofer. He also told me helpful info about how raids go around here.

Someone on this post said what I can show as evidence that I don't spoof. I hope the raiders around my place are knowledgeable enough. Some probably think I spoofed the hell out of that Lickitung in a gym I was actually remote-feeding Golden Razzies from a mall to troll a famous player who took my gym too early.

If you show up in person, you shouldn't need to provide any proof to anybody. If people think you are a spoofer, it's only because they've never met you, and meeting you should assuage their concern. If you show up to the EX raid and make a reasonable attempt to be sociable, there is no reason for anyone to question your legitimacy.

Showing up didn't work, I got told "People know you, you spoof." How do they know me and by what behavior do they claim I spoof? If they saw me, they could have come say "Hi." If they just didn't bother to get there before I left, then I don't know what proof they'd have that I spoof. But I cannot prove it either, as I was not allowed to.
