So it's Palkia coming next

I'm not going to do too much more than daily passes. I did cave and I bought passes for Groudon...no shiny. I think this one a chance for a certain population to raid w/o going overboard on it

Palkia itself is a strong counter, as are Salamance and Dragonite.

Shouldn't be that bad. Palkia itself is an excellent counter to Palkia without Draco Meteor, and the Fairies do great work against Draco Meteor. So it's just a bootstrap problem if you don't have a Team of Rayquazas yet.

There really isn't that big of a difference between Ray and Dnite, it rarely matters which one you're bringing. Dragonite has enough DPS to duo most movesets of Palkia with a best friend.

According to pokebattler, there are a few sets of palkia where another palkia is a superior counter to rayquaza. Even if its not number 1, its still a fantastic coutner to itself, benefiting the strong dragon STAB on dragon tail and the dragon type nuke Draco meteor.

Looks like its going to preform like a salamence, however with more bulk, same moveset

If you're lucky enough to have a Dragon hidden power togekiss (i do not recommend evolving to try getting this right now however, mamoswine day,save the stones) its going to do FANTASTIC as a tank counter vs draco meteor, having the best TDO against that charge move.
