So even if I power this Lapra up, it is useless, huh?
I hatched my first Lapras today but it has IV only 73.3(CP is 1430). It does have Frost Breath and Blizzard though.
Interestingly, I have another lapra with IV 66.7 and CP measles 177. It has Frost breath and Ice beam. Get this, it has perfect Defense and Stamina but it has zero attack.
Two questions, I should definitely power up the first one and the second mon is useless, right? Second, have that ever happened to anyone? Pokémon has two perfect stats and one zero stats.

iv 66 with 177 cp, yes is useless, that pokemon is just one more candy
the other one, isnt useless he has cp range for either prestige vs dragonites and take down any dragonite, if you just want him to power up it will be a dragonite killer even when he doesnt need to
and yes, ive got two 15s stats and 0 in the other one
A zero IV stat does not make a mon useless...it still has it's base stats. IV are just an addition to it's base stats. If it was a 2K mon with zero attack IV it would still rip dragons apart.
That said, it has too low CP to bother to power up as it will take more candy and stardust than it is worth, especially considering how rare Lapras candy is.
The first one is a beast, and deserves to kill many Dragons....feed it candy and dust and go destroy Dragonites.
1430 is perfect for prestige against about 2800+ Dragonites.

177 with 0a/15/15 is level 3. It will take 32 candy (160 km) and 22,800 stardust to get up to 1022cp where it can begin to be useful for prestige. Whether that is worth it or not is up to you and what other ice prestigers you already have.
