snorlax vs golem

I'd like to know which is better when a snorlax with lick/earthquake versus golem with mud slap/earthquake in terms of offense. Thanks.

For instance, both are at CP2400.

If they're both the same CP then the Golem will have the higher CPM * attack value, since Snorlax's high CP is a result of it's high stamina.

Even if they were the same level, where Snorlax would have higher CP, the Golem should do more damage due to it having STAB on both moves and a higher base attack stat and Lick is basically only good for building energy.

That's pretty interesting to me. Thought it would be contrary due to speed of the quick attack and lick is faster then mad slap.

Lick is faster but it does hardly any damage. It charges energy faster so you use Earthquake more often but that doesn't make up for Golem's higher attack stat and STAB on both moves.
