Slowness after update?

Anyone else experience these issues since the "minor text changes" update today.
1. When approaching a poke stop, I get the spinning icon in the top left before I tap on it. If I tap on it while the spinning icon is still showing, it keeps spinning, doesn't provide any items, and then turns purple as if it did. Ugh!
2. Same scenario as above, but I tap on poke stop after spinning icon finishes. Then spinning icon starts again and takes forever to display the image on the poke stop. I can now finally spin and get 3 red poke balls or some crap which seems to be the norm lately.
3. Tap on pokemon to capture and spinning icon keeps displaying for a while. After every throw, spinning icon appears again.
I've restarted my device, restarted the app, moved to different areas where I have plenty of bars and network availability. This is not a carrier or network issue. It worked fine before the update, but has been painfully buggy afterward.

Just so you know, if it turns purple, you got the items, regardless of whether they showed up on your screen or not. You can check your journal to be sure.

Yeah still annoying though sitting there spinning it 4 times while the little spinny icon goes

Yeah same here. I finally felt like they had fixed a lot of the lag issues, including with the login load time, and this update rolled all those changes back.

A few of these stops I've had to spin 6-7+ times before the app finally showed as collected.
