This is far from being a rant as this site has been my PoGo bible for ages now. However, the amount of conflicting information is starting to become very noticeable and, in my opinion, it is making the site look confused.
The Charizard page is an the latest example I have noticed. The page is fully updated and only Fire Spin + Overheat carries an A ranking on attack with Wing Attack, Air Slash and Ember + Overheat all getting A-, but the explanation directly underneath says "Air Slash and Wing Attack are preferred over Fire Spin and Ember". Similar inconsistencies crop up everywhere.
It may just be that different individuals are updating different areas and they have conflicting opinions, but couldn't some compromise be reached before conflicting information is published?
A easy measure that would help for future:
Gamepress to put a date of change on every piece of text.
Another continous 2-step-measure that would help:
(1) Mark every piece of text, all Guides and other Informations given, that is older than one month as "possibly outdated".
(2) Reread every piece of text that is "possibly outdated" mark them as "valid" or "outdated"
Also, I assume anyone updating info for GP are all doing it in their spare time so it takes a lot of time to keep up with every single change and update everything and no one is being compensated for it (not to mention, it's prob not fun)...
My advice is don't take anything posted as fact, but if you play a while and follow here and SR, it's pretty clear what is outdated...The Q&A also has mostly updated answers from regular posters...
