Sinnoh Stone Rates for PvP?

my GF and I each did our training battle with the team leader, and then 3 PvP with eachother.

Trainer 1500 tier: I got 300 stardust for winning.
Trainer Master tier: GF got 500 stardust for winning.

PVP Master tier:

Match 1: I got 1000 stardust for winning. GF got a Sinnoh Stone for Losing.
Match 2: GF got 1000 stardust for winning. I got 500 stardust for losing.
Match 3: I got 1000 stardust for winning. GF got a Sinnoh Stone for Losing.

So, my GF got insanely lucky getting a Sinnoh Stone on both losses I assume. Are others seeing a good Sinnoh Stone rate (i.e. or was it that I was just unlucky?).

500 dust for each of 2 wins, 1 sinnoh stone for 1 win. 300 dust for trainer win.

Kids got 500 for each of 3 losses.

I got 500 dust every time. Friend got 2 Sinnoh stones and 500 dust. I went 1-2

If previous Niantic patterns apply, rewards for battles will be much better during the first few hours. I expect Sinnoh Stones to drop quite rarely in the long run. Actually, as I am writing this five hours after the original post, I assume the window of easy Sinnoh drops has already closed.
