Sincerely, confused about my zh/bs Snorlax.

Hello everyone, I hatched a snorlax, few weeks ago. ZH/BS, a/d/s = 13.10.13, 80% iv. Best def and legacy movesets and decent iv I know. But I still not power it up yet.
The reason is, I am in red team, and in my city, red team so strong. Many defender's CP even from 2800+ at the bottom of the gym.
I am level 31, the max cp of this snorlax is 2898. Maybe in 8th or 9th position in gym. Then it will be down soon (Although red team strong, others still do some attack).
I always walk with it, so I have about 80 candies now. Should I just power it up or keep waiting?
Btw, this is the only snorlax I have met......Sigh..
Thanks for every input.

You aren't going to get a better Snorlax at this point via catch / hatch, so you might as well start pouring candy and dust into this guy. Max him as high as he can go.

Maybe you can wait for trading because as you said now you don't need it. You can evolve some Gyarados which is useless but with high cp.

That's what I do now... but Gyarados really so useless. #feelbadman. That's why I remind this fat boy again...

I wouldn't hesitate to max it out. You have enough candy to bring it to at least level 31 already. Go for it. This is better than any Snorlax you might ever find or hatch since Body Slam can no longer be obtained.

Max it out. That Mon is a great asset to any gym...even if near the bottom, in fact it's probably better for the gym that it's lower down as it will prevent lower level attackers pecking away at the rung of the ladder

The medium-low spots of a gym are very important to weaken the attacker's team and forces him to use tons of revives and potions, helping a lot the team to hold a gym and intimating the enemy to give up.

IMO: power up the max you can for now and keep walking for more candies untill he got maxed out.

  • If you put a 2850 BS Snorlax there you will make the gym stronger than a 3100 CP Gyarados even with a lower spot.

If 2898 won't get you far...

What else do you have that's better? Maybe a Dragonite or Rye dude? Either way you're trainer level is keeping you back, not the mons.

"Btw, this is the only snorlax I have met......Sigh.." - has the best Snorlax in the game

Well it is problematic that he needs to walk for all his Snorlax candy and if he puts it in a gym then he can't continue walking with a smaller one.

If you want higher spot in the gym with lower trainer level, you rlly need Dragonite or Tyranitar to jump higher.
And hope others dont have those pokemons lol.

I would power up this Snorlax, even it only get lower spot.
