Shuckle – useful or useless
I now have 2 Shuckles, one with SB/RB and another one with SB/GB.
The SB/RB one was caught in the wild, 32 CP with 16 HP, level 6, unknown IVs, HP 8–12, IV less than 50%.
The SB/GB one was hatched, it can be used to prestige against my 171 CP Sudowoodo with 521 prestige, maybe eventually be better after the gym rework, 164 CP with 32 HP; GB may be buffed due to Shuckle's unusually low speed stat in the main series; 14/14/14 IV; seriously? Not 100% IV?

For now, totally useless.
I used a battle simulator to simulate a fight between my Lvl 39, 3522 CP Dragonite with DT/O against a 100% IV Shuckle at max Lvl. The fight lasts 11 seconds until the Shuckle faints.
In the current gym meta, high stamina stat 'mons are the ones you should care about (eg. Blissey, Snorlax, etc. - talking about gym defense).
Hi. I wanted to share my thoughts about this little feller Shuckle, based on my own observations. There's something about it that really gets my attention somehow. Firstly, its defensive stats are just toughest among all the 801 Pokemon from all the generations. That's nearly impossible that it is designed this way just for nothing. Secondly, Nintendo is fathers of easter eggs hidden in the game concept as far as I reckon. Thirdly, this buddy looks exactly same as a turtle from their another flagship game the Super Mario bros. (remember, you need to smack it to send slide to outta screen) It's actually their most known icon around the world. Again, why so? Nor NIA, not Nintendo was never doing anything just for fun without a special purpose. So, my true hopes the Shuckle will blast someday I'm 99% sure. Here I have attached the screen of its stats where defense and special defense is reaching maximum rate possible in the game. Therefore, just in case I'm keeping a bunch of good Shuckles and about 600 candies. We will see what is going to happen to it. Have a nice day
shuckle was built for the original game format; its stats don't translate well to pokemon go. Its too bad because of his uniqueness in the original game.
On a side note: a lot of other mons don't translate well, and poison mons are generally weaker or weak to a bunch of stuff, and they don't get the poison buff - same with a bunch of other status effect type mons. Really wished they could have come up with something more inventive than screen stabbing. Move combo swiping would have been nice. plus the whole powering up mons is kinda lame.
