Congratz. But if there was one pokemon that deserved an early shiny, it was Metagross. Altaria's shiny is nice too, but Metagross is sought-after and has a killer shiny.

Looks good! I'm at just over 40 candy (and no worthy Beldum/Metang), so I have a long way to go. It's nice that it's "snowing" here quite often last couple of days, so I probably get to farm some tomorrow.

63 Beldum candies, but i so far haven't saw a beldum with over 80% ivs and anywhere in an acceptable range without wasting stardust. I've just caught a beldum at level 7 and 98% IVs, however, will just keep catching until 125 candies..
