Should I try my luck on him?

I’ve been lacking a kinda tanky Psychic attacker, and now I have a L30 ES/SB 15/5/15 Exeggutor(5 defense). E-shaped stats-that’s good! But I only have 1 CTM, is it worth trying to get Psychic on him?

There's currently no use for a psychic attacker and the rebalances of gen 4 are coming soon. Save your resources.

I second this. Also Psychic is the worst charge move of its type, so even if you end up using him, you could at least wait to see if something changes in his moveset (for the better)

Why would anyone want to use Exeggutor as a psychic attacker??

After this event there's no excuse. I used a couple double psychic Exeggutor before I had a team of Espeon/Alakazam/Mewtwo. As the psychic event concludes, anyone who's been playing this week should have plenty of those better options.

Exactly, Abras everywhere atm, Mewtwo still a raid boss, this is where you need to be looking to bolster your psychic squad.

Up until the most recent boss rotation, exeggutor was still a staple in my machamp solo team.

No, it's not worth it no matter how many you have. But - have fun and go for it if you want. It's no biggie either way.

Want a tanky psychic attacker? How about Mewtwo? The worst possible psychic Mewtwo you could get (10/10/10 PC/Psychic) will be FAR better than a perfect eggy. Better stats and Confusion as a fast attack will be much better. Grab two of those, and forget about Eggy as a psychic attacker - it had a place in Gen1, but the landscape has changed, and is about to change again.

You shouldn’t be spending any resources right now .... Gen 4 is right around the corner and rebalancing.

Dragonite with Hyper Beam, Tyranitar with Fire Blast and Machamp with Heavy Slam are far better candidates for a single CTM.

Unless Exeggcutes are incredibly rare where you live and you do not get sunny weather, you can just wait for some high level weather boosted Exeggcutes regardless of IVs and evolve to try again for Psychic.
