I charged tm my dragonite in the hopes of getting outrage but it got hyper beam instead.

Should i transfer it now? I'm pretty sure i can no longer get a charged tm for a long time.

I'll only keep it if it's 100 IV. Otherwise it's as good as useless.

List its IVs, otherwise this post lacks enough information, and will only elucidate trolly/sarcastic responses.

It's 84% and level 30. I don't have anything better, sorry. But i also have another Dragonite with the same ivs but it's lv 28.

Keep it. My third best Dnite is 84% with DT/H, it also gets more use than the two better ones I have since it's part of my Machamp solo team. It's unfortunate you didn't get the charge move you wanted (I assume Outrage), but understand that anything besides Hyper Beam has good utility, so using even one more CTM wouldn't be a huge waste.

Keeping it will cost you one space. You will get another TM if you keep doing raids, so I would keep that Dragonite. Rather transfer a Pidgey or one of those other hundreds of less useful mons.

Are you so desperate for space? Why would you even consider that?

Not for space but because i am angry that i made this mistake. Never mind, time to grind tms.

But don't 'cut off your nose to spite your face' then. That mon already has at least 125 candies invested in it, just wait for another CTM, and since its got the worst charged move now all it can do is improve from there.

Unless you have dratini nests everywhere and can afford to throw out GOOD dragons just because, why would you toss it? My guess is that you will get another TM before 125 dragon candy. Especially if you are needing for one of the dratini to be L30 and 84 IV+.

The charge TM roulette wheel is a gamble. Sometimes you win on the first play. Sometime it takes 3 or 6 to get where you want to go.

TMs easy to get now, even from t1-3 raids. I used 3 to get my Kyogre HP and don't regret it. There will be more!

A Dragonite with 10/10/10 IV has base stats of A/D/S 273/211/192. Compared to a perfect one of 278/216/197, its base stats are actually:
A: 98.2%
D: 97.7%
S: 97.5%
Overall: 97.8%
Yes, you don't need a 97.8% IV mon to be 97.8% as effective as a perfect one.
If that 2% bugs you so much, there's something wrong with you.

Using your only CTM on a Hurricane Dragonite is stupid and you can only blame yourself, but transfering the Dragonite would be even stupider and make you feel a lot worse when you realize what you've done.

Next time stick to safe options if you don't have a lot of CTM. Such as your new HB Dragonite, which will get a guaranteed upgrade with a single TM.
