Should i pump 87iv Shadow Claw Gengar? Worth the investment?

I have only 1 Level 20 Shadow Claw Gengar with 87iv (15 At, 10 Def, 14 Hp) that was obtained during the early days of Pogo.

As Stardust and Candy isn't a major concern, i just want to see whether its worth it to invest in a Shadow Claw Gengar in the long run

Absolutely.

I wish mine had that attack. I wouldn't think twice to power it up if it did but it stands at 10a.

I powered up my 76% atk 11 to L36 now!
It s part of the Claydol solo team!

I totally would if I had one. Gengar has become very useful again thanks to Claydol, Starmie, Alakazam's return, and the upcoming Lati@s.

I do think Hex gets a bad rep though

I was anxious whether i needed more than 1 shadow claw gengar to be able to succeed in certain solo raids like alakazam focus blast or claydol (i have 4 level 30 gengars with Hex and Shadow Ball)

I would. Powered one 14/13/10 from 20, at 31 now. And this one from I don't remember what level, probably 25-27.

Without any doubt, i power up mine to level 39 and its on iv 82 atk 15
My 2nd is lv 35 with 80, atk 14, will powerup my 3rd at atk 13 and change the CM to Shadow Ball in the future
No regret for me, i like SC/SB Gengar, play a huge role in my 1st win in Alakazam solo back in the day

If you solo T3 raids for the challenge, yes. Otherwise it won't be more useful than a Muk.

Just my 2 cents. This one sat at below 35 for the longest time to survive 3 Confusions from Alakazam, then I needed to make a team for Claydol in a hurry and just maxed it. It's served me so well and is still proving its worth that it deserved to get maxed. If you want to solo Claydol, at least get yours to the breakpoint.

A 0% SC Gengar is worth the investment.

I maxed out my 15/9/15, so yes!

I actually barely use my Gengar because gyms are filled with normal types and I have a SB Mewtwo, but it is good for a handful of raids and fun to use.
