Should I power up this Snorlax?
Hi all! I need your opinion.
I'm lvl 26 and I've just got my first Snorlax from a 10km egg. This Snorlax is 78% IV (12-13-10) and 1729 CP and also has lick+body slam, which is not bad.
The problem is that I prefer a def Snorlax, since I can easily beat Gyms with other Pokemons and with that IV+lick is not the best Snorlax for def... but it's still a Snorlax and I doubt I get another one (just hatched 4 10km-eggs since July).
So what should I do? Powering it up or waiting for a def one?

If you are not confy with snorlax as an attacker, just use it for defense but don't power it up, the sad reality is, a snorlax with a better moveset will only buy you a couple of minutes at best against a determined attacker, if they want to beat it, they will.
What it means is... yes, generaly you want your defensive pokemon to have as high CP as you can, but you shouldn't just power up any one of them as stardust is so scarse, you should save it only for the best ones. So in this case it just means you should just use this snorlax as it is either for defense or offense, and wait for one with a defensive moveset to power it up.
Power it. Chances of getting the exact one you want aren't great. Even a snorlax with the 0iv and lick/earthquake is better than the vast majority of anything in the game. There's only like a 15 percent effectiveness difference between yours and the one you want according to spreadsheet. You really want to wait for 15 percent that may never come?
