Should i just give up leveling?

I rlly dont have motivation to play this game that much, so im getting levels rlly slowly.

I was hoping i could get level 35--->36 during this event but with this speed and motivation i will be missing at least 250k xp.

I can do 3 or 4 mass evolves and i been saving candys for douple xp event but what is the point?
Level 36-37 needs 2milj xp and i usually get 75k xp without event.
Even 10x mass evolve during event would only benefit me 1,5milj xp.

So what you guys think?
Should i just admit that my pokemongo leveling has come to an end and just burn my mass evolves now and get that level 36 and then give up leveling part of the game.

Anyone else feeling this way about leveling???

I let it happen on its own -- consequently I am not that high level. This game has never been about leveling myself up, it has been about collecting Pokemon and walking more. That is how I play at least.

Levels after 30 doesnt really mean anything. If you are not having fun playing pokemon go maybe take a break? See if you will miss it or not.

Your best bet is to play the game because you want to, not for the sake of leveling up. The xp curve gets more ridiculous the higher you go. If leveling up is your only motivation, more than likely you'll drive yourself crazy, burnout and lose interest in the game very quickly. I'm only level 33, but playing for fun when I want is more important than getting a high level.

What's the rush? 40 is just for bragging. 38 is good enough. Once you're 33 you have plenny potential to wreck anyone, even a gym of 40s.

I noticed that once I'm not able to level any more in a reasonable time I quit playing. I'm pretty sure I would have still been around if levels wouldn't need such a ridiculous amount of xp.

Too few challenges nowadays. Try to keep it fun if you can besides levelling. Because otherwise you'll face the same dead I did. Even this event couldn't get me back.

I'm level 36. I've never given much of a crap about leveling. I don't even pay much attention to it and it certainly isn't a goal of mine-more a byproduct of playing the game once you reach 33 or so.

The only thing I do is rename all of my autoevolve pokes with an *. Once my bag gets full I use a lucky egg and set the arrangement to alphabetical and go to town to clear space. I do not really care about saving for certain events unless they are explicitly announced. As you say it just isn't worth the trouble to put too much effort into it at higher levels, for me at least.

I just hit level 35 about 20 minutes ago! It was like a win/lose situation. I felt great to see that interger rise by one, then was demotivated to see I need 1.5 mil XP for 36.

I use this as an excuse to get off my rump and jog, so leveling up is not a huge deal to me. I still enjoy the get game and I'm a little over halfway to level 40. If I get there, that just means in stayed strong and didn't give up on my regular cardio.

I reached 35 two days ago, it was my immediate goal. But leveling up is not why I play, the exercise motivation is the main reason.

I know the XP required for higher levels are ridiculous, but this doesnt't discourage me. I have a lot of powering up to do now (may need to ask for advice here;)

It's easier to level when you don't worry about leveling...I just grind and play without thinking during my walks...EXP just continues to flow in when eventually, you level after a month or 2...

I think mass evolves are still great though since it's simply the fastest way to get higher levels. I don't see being a higher level would ever be bad so for the least amount of "time" playing (boring play at that), I'd still save candies for double exp mass evolves...

I also only casually play now (never set major time to go to a nest, play by the beach, etc...anymore since neither my kids nor the wife cares anymore)...so exp is probably slower.

The main problem is simply that there is very little content in the game and I don't think a gym rework is going to fix that.

A lot of people simply don't care about gyms so if Niantic doesn't want the user base to erode further, they really need to put more stuff in.

The only people who care about gyms are the hardcore people who wants to be in 10 gyms, etc...Other than that, the game gets boring probably for everyone.

I wish it got boring, LOL. It's anything but, but maybe that's because I have only played since Oct. 30?

P.S. I do want to be in 10 gyms... or a few more. That way I don't have to send Niantic too much $ ;)

I think if you focus too much on levelling up, especially during normal times, it can be tiresome. Like for current event, i focus more on catching any pokemon as xp is at least 3x, so it make sense to catch the easier monsters. And for double xp events, then it make more sense to mass evolve with lucky eggs. Othertimes, I focus on some rare pokemons to complete what i require.
