Should I evolve my starters?

I'm waiting for an XP event to evolve but... are these IV ok already in your opinion?

Those IVs are good. The starters have kinda middling CP anyway so they're more useful as attackers in my opinion.

If you don't need them as attackers then you can hold off if you want more XP later on.

If you don't have the third stage evolution in your Pokedex then that's 500 extra XP during double XP, or 1500 if you have a lucky egg on top (2000 XP vs regular 500).

If that's a big deal for you, then hold off on evolving.

Also, check their moves before going for the second evolution because the first evolutions can be good for prestige.

Ivysaur - Vine Whip/Solar Beam
Ivysaur - Vine Whip/Power Whip
Charmeleon - Fire Fang/Flamethrower
Wartortle - Water Gun/Hydro Pump

I evolved an 89% vine whip/solar have slowly levelled it (interrupted to work on some blissey killers) in that period of time I have acquired a 91% and a 95% and I am looking at them thinking hmmm.

For me the 84% is destined for the profs clandestine research lab and eventual candy crush machine.

The 89% maybe. venosaur is serviceable against vapereon and gyrydose if you are against a tower and don't have enough jolteons. or as someone has already said if moves are good leave it for prestiging.

The IVs are MORE than fine if you want to evolve. The difference in performance of a 82% vs 100% is not discernible. It makes a difference in CP, which is very important for gym placement with Snorlax, Dragonite, etc, but none of the starters are gym defenders (because of low CP unfortunately)

That said, I personally have found lots of high IV starters (mostly by hatching eggs) so whatever makes you happy.
