Should I Charge TM a Dragon Pulse Gyarados in prepare for Mewtwo?

As in the title.
He's maxed at level 39, used to be gym keeper but not anymore since the rework.
For Mewtwo raid, I have only two level 30+ Tyranitar. I do have some other maxed Dragonites but I'm thinking Bite Gyrados is better than DB Dragonite in this fight, or am I wrong?
I don't intend to spend Stardust on powering up another T-tar from Level 20 (I don't have high IV Tyranitars that are worth the dust either). I would rather play the TM game.
My only concern is that Dragon Pulse is legacy and, in the future, may be a powerful move again. He is the only Gyarados I have who knows Dragon Pulse.

Would you pull the trigger?

Thanks in advance.

No, I wouldn't use the TM.

Same boat here. Its a legacy move but it isn't a good legacy move. Only if trading ever becomes a thing will it even matter. I'd rather have Bite/Crunch or Bite/Hydro Pump or Bite/Anything else for the coming raids then sit on a bad moveset for a theoretical mode sometime in the future. We'll see. lol

I'd save it for it being legacy and unobtainable now. There's also ofcourse the possibility Niantic will rebalance gyms/raids/moves so DP might become viable somewhere in the future.

I did the same and got crunch. However, I got additional ones with dragon pulse.

No.
Pokebattler simulations show that Gyarados is not the best choice against Mewtwo (with FB)
Drsgonite is way better.

I've been wondering the same. Not a ton of Magikarps in my area, so I only have two Garys. One is Bite/Hydropump and the other is Bite/Dragon Pulse. Both are 35.5, so it seems a bit silly to hold onto one of my strongest Mon for hypothetical uses when he could do a job now. But of course I can't get the move back if I TM it.

One thing that tempts me to TM it is that since Gary doesn't have STAB for it, it'll always be a niche-use attack rather than a max-dragon-type-damage Mon. Still, I've yet to pull the trigger.

Thanks for all the advice. I decided not to TM it.
