Shiny Kyogre max out

I have max level 40, others at level 20 98%/96% intention to max 1 more, caught shiny but attack is 10/11 pokegenie won’t give exact 78-80%. I won’t have chance to catch anymore I’ll be camping in woods won’t be playing.
Should I max 98% 15/14/15 cp2323 or
Max shiny stats either 10/12/14 80% or 11/10/14 78% cp2268

I’ve done 9 Kyogre looking for a shiny, so not Ahab’ing, but I maxed a 15a/12/15 months ago. Caught a 14a/15/15 first day back, have it at 33 already with plans to max or near max it. If I get a shiny I’ll take it to 30 without a thought, even if 10/10/10

However, I only did 2 Ho-Oh and got a shiny on the first one....2190ish, that thing (or any other Ho-Oh) isn’t going anywhere any time soon. Kyogre is worthwhile though, 2 at 40 AND 1 shiny at 30 is a good/productive option

I get that many around here are high high level, so even without a shiny variant there are those that will do 75-80 raids of a particular relevant legendary. However, I'm hearing about very average players here doing 50+ Ho-Oh and 50+ Lugia bc of shinys. Not exactly possible to get that many in my city's quadrant, but if you paste some of the chat boards together I guess they could do it. I would just figure people like that would be at least at level 38 from raiding and daily streak playing

I checked the breakpoint calculator and a maxed out kyogre with 10 attack will have 1 less damage with its waterfall on at least the following situations: Tier 4 golem raid on rainy weather; Tier 4 Rhydon raid both with no water weather boost and rainy weather; Tier 5 Groudon raid on rainy weather. There could be more differences on other raids. All are currently legacy raids, but they can come back.

I think it depends on your playing style: If you prefer doing more damage, Or if having the status symbol of raiding with a shiny. Personally, I like soloing/duo raids and I’d go for the 98 IV kyogre.

Actually I'm on the similar boat. As shiny kyogre is meta relevant and shiny, I'll power it up (mine is 93% 14a). I think two kyogre are good enough for me as I also got max out gyarados to complement my water team.

To be honest if I had 93% A14 shiny Kyogre I would instantly max that out, awesome catch! Unfortunately mine attack is either 10 or 11 :(

If you like the shiny variant, why not.
Everybody har it own style of playing
For me i dont really care much for shiny legendaries, as i prefer to use my rare candy on the best that i have, and i cant put legendaries in a gym.
But again if you like it, go ahead..
