Shiny baby pokemon
Just a relaxing post.
So, apparently having a shiny baby pokemon (Togepi, Magbi, Wynaut, Pichu) is really hard. I can say i'm really lucky cause i got 2 shiny Pichus. How are all of you doing? Send screenshots of your babies and also tell:1) Would you trade one of those for a Shiny Articuno? 2) What's your price for one of those?

I broke down and bought the box with 12 Super Incubators so I could hatch all my Alolan Meowths and Ratattas. Now that I have useful eggs again, I'm hoping to get some Shiny babies. Or Babies in general - I'll even take a Smoochems!
I don't have my hopes up, but I'm sure that there is a better chance of hatching a Baby Pokémon than there is of hatching an Alolan Vulpix. (which I have 1, and now I'm avoiding Alolan eggs until they take out the Ratatta - or any other Alolan that can be caught in the Wild. Similary, I just hatched a Togepi - not shiny, but better than a Barboach that I seem to normally hatch from 2km eggs)
I think the rarity between shiny babies and shiny Articuno is debatable. While the odds of hatching a shiny baby are indeed low, at least they're still in the egg pool. Shiny Articuno is currently no longer available to obtain outside of trades. So if you were one of the people, like myself, who wasn't able to get a shiny Articuno on Saturday, it's pretty enticing.
You are right that the shiny babies are still available but they really are incredibly rare. None of their species are common hatches and the odds of the baby being shiny are minuscule.
Anyone with the time and a place with gyms could easily complete 15 Articuno raids by foot and double that by car during Articuno day for good odds of getting a shiny. The cars I heard about ranged from 3/5 players getting a shiny to all getting a shiny.
I won't trade my Articuno, but if I did I would be very happy if someone offered a shiny baby for it. I don't think anyone will because even the whales who incubate constantly barely have all of them.
