Shinies. To evolve or not to evolve?

I *usually* evolve on the grounds I can always get another. Growlithe has been my exception.

ETA: And Wynaut.

Get that entry, get another one? Trade it for a new one.

Evolve it for more shiny dex entries.

I will evolve if it has decent IV's and/or is caught at a high level, or if I have multiples of the same unevolved shiny.

I currently have a shiny Wingull that I plan to keep unevolved because I dislike Pelipper. The only way id evolve it is if i found another shiny wingull.

I plan to do the same with certain other pokemon like Gible in the future because shiny Garchomp is a travesty. So for me personally it's just based on whether or not I like their look more.

Caught a shiny Pineco the other day. Was disappointed when I saw that the fairly cool looking Forretress had a shiny that looked just like the regular one, but painted completely turd brown. Haven't evolved that one.

I have evolved all of mine so far but certainly keeping them unevolved makes them more valuable for trading so you have a benefit there. Shinies are mainly aesthetic so i evolve them to have more dex entries. The only one i got from an egg had crappy IVs so no shiny of mine is actually useful :( (well besides a 84% Meganium but sadly that pokemon is not stelllar)

I wait until I get a duplicate unless the evolved form is very cool

evolve the next one you get go for the entire shiny familie in you box but at least get the shiny dex entrie

I evolve them to get the shiny dex entry. I'm not interested in spending a lot of dust and effort to trade for new shinies so keeping unevolved shinies has no value for me.

Being the IV slut I am I wait until I get enough to cover the entire line before deciding which ones to evolve. I have Shiny Swablu from early on that's been a Swablu until I find another. I've been able to find three shiny Aron and two shiny Makuhita though so I have their evolutions.
