Shall I evolve this Phanpy?

Caught a wild Phanpy with weather boost. CP 1024 Lv 33 A/D/S 151306. Noticed that Donphan is one of the top gym defenders and evolving a high level Phanpy is dust-wist-efficient. But its Stamina hurts a little.

I have 378 Phanpy candy and 1000K dust.

Might as well. Unless you live in a highly active gym area I can't advise spending dust on defenders, so catching one at that level with those stats is about the best you can hope for.

I'd do it, mostly because i already did the same thing, level 35 one, evolved it and been using it for the past week

Even a CP 10 Pidgey can carry 50coins home...

Sure, why not? Donphan is cool and a solid defender with Play Rough. That said I wouldn’t invest any dust, you can always do Donphan raids and get a better one.

I'd rather wait for one with higher Stamia IV. I have an evolved one myself and I love it. Its good to have.

Thank you guys for the advice! I think I will wait till the event ends and try to trade other Phanpy and see if I can get any high level & good iv (& lucky) one back. If not I will evolve it up.
