Server issues

I have been getting for about two weeks now an error message that says failed to get game data from the server. I would like to know when I can continue to play. I have missed out on all of the Halloween event because of it. Someone please help

Two weeks?! I would have gone stir crazy after two days.

I'm going to assume you've already tried basic stuff like re-installing the app and clearing your cache/data. I'd contact Niantic support.

It could be the version of PoGo you are running.

Apparently the latest update is bugged for many, and has been removed from release.
It may help to get hold of an older version and install that, if you have the latest (buggy) version
