Seen a Relicanth
So I last checked my pokedex yesterday and there was no silhouhette of Relicanth which is a New Zealand exclusive pokemon. I do not like registering a "Seen 1 caught 0" on my pokedex so was careful not to tap on any gym today (I know eventually I will have to see it if I were to place any of my pokemons in the gym in the future but let's put that aside for now). However, I did tap on a gym to raid a tyranitar boss after it appeared on top of that gym. In other words, I did not get to see the pokemons defending that gym. Is it possible that Relicanth was in that gym and that's how "seen 1 caught 0" crept into my pokedex. Anyone have a similar experience? This is strange since technically i did not even get to see it.

I like that it shows up in the pokedex, but it shouldn't count as seen. I was just checking to see how many Absol raids I have done: seen 5, caught 4. I know I have caught all of the Absols that I have done from raids, so that extra 1 seen is from a gym.
Ideally I think the data should have been broken down:
Seen - the number of wild catch encounters when you have tapped on a creature on the map.
Raids - the number of completed raids won against that pokemon.
Caught - the number caught from both wild and raid encounters
Hatched - self explanatory

Seeing a pokemon in a gym should unlock the picture in the pokedex, but none of these statistics. Each stat would only be displayed after the first entry. i.e.:
Raid only pokemon would only display raids and (after the first catch) caught.
Egg only pokemon would only display hatched.
Special event raids like the Yokohama Dragonite raids would only show raids count for players that attended the events.
Unfortunately too late to add this data, unless Niantic has been tracking it and just not displaying it.
