Scyther vs Scizor (to counter Alakazam)

I have a level 20 90% scyther with FC/X-S. Is Scizor that much stronger that it's worth spending the candy to evolve and risk getting a steel moveset...instead of just powering up the Scyther that already has a moveset that is optimal for countering Alakazam?

Scizor has the bonus of resisting a lot of alakazam's moves, plus some added attack stat.

I'd say evolve it, at least there are TMs as the saving grace now. But scyther is not bad by any means.

Thanks! I totally overlooked the defensive coverage provided by Scizor's bug/steel typing versus Scyther's bug/flying.

Weird scenario, if the Alakzam has Focus Blast your Scyther is immune(.51 dmg taken) to it but scizor is not. If it is pure psychic Scizor is resistant (.71 dmg taken) where scyther is not. So in general Scizor is worth the evolution in that battle. Just purely off being more durable.
