Sceptile Quick Move

What are we thinking about Sceptile's quick move?

Both are at the same DPS against neutral defenders. Bullet Seed has better type synergy with Leaf Blade, while Fury Cutter is terrific for dodging and generates more energy for Leaf Blade spam.

I think Fury Cutter will win out except against defenders double weak to Grass. I like the idea of better dodging, since Sceptile doesn't have the bulk to eat attacks. And against a defender with a single Grass weakness, such as Groudon, Sceptile has a faster kill time with Fury Cutter per Pokebattler (by 58 seconds in my test).

Which will you be choosing?

I prefer Bullet Seed since, for me, a lot of the utility of Grass Pokemon is the fact that their targets are often double weak to Grass.

Better for omastar raids kuz it is double weak to grass. Sceptile is on par w exeggutor for best DPS vs omastar too.

Based on a quick check on PokeBattler against raid bosses, it appears like Bullet Seed is only better when exploiting a double weakness, and even then it is incredibly close.

Just and FYI, both my Lv 34 Shiftry and Lv 29 Sceptile were one shotted by Groudon's Earthquake in partly cloudy conditions (no weather boost). Unless you plan on dodging, go with Eggy.

I always dodge obvious, slow charge moves, but yes: Sceptile can't take a lot of unmitigated damage.

Dodging charge moves with squishy/weakened mons is more or less based on luck due to the dodge bug. It might actually save time to just accept one's fate and not try to dodge at all in those cases.

I prefer FC > BS due to the cooldown difference (0.4s vs 1.1s) but I miss not having STAB
