Now the event is over i have a ton of those pikachos filling my space.
Are they worth keeping for future?

I'm only keeping my best Santa Pikachu, and my best Santa Raichu. I've already transferred two Santa Raichus, and about 60 of the Pikachus. I was mainly just farming them for the candy. I have around ten extra Santa Pikachus, and I am going to leave them as sacrificial lambs when I take over high-turnover gyms, then transfer them when they are kicked out.
Hard to find? I transferred about 50 of them. Evolved 6 of them and still have about 30. I live in the middle of nowhere and I ended up finding more pikachus during the event than I had in my previous 33 levels and 970km of walking. Went from the bronze pika medal up 90+.
Got to the point where I felt obligated to catch them even though I was loathing seeing them by the end. I;m glad the event is over.
I would be very surprised if 1) Someone doesn't already have a Santa Pikachu (they were everywhere) and 2) We'll get new players joining the game at this point and 3) Trading will actually be introduced.
That's a lot of things that need to come together for this to actually make sense. But in the off chance that it does happen, you certainly won't be the only one trying to trade Santa Pikachu and the going rate will be really cheap. What do you realistically think you would get in return given all these conditions? A Cleffa?
All in all to say: do as you please but don't hold your breath :-)
This is an incredibly intelligent and insightful response. Many of us have thought the same as you and are holding on to Santa Pikachus. Though I will say a perfect or incredibly close to perfect santa hat pika might hold value if you were lucky enough to get one. A similar Raichu with the best move set could be worth even more to the right person. But it's all speculation.
