Rock Slide Aerodactyl

So ive had a 98% ive kept for a long time, mostly as it was my first solo raid I ever completed, long before I had any of my kyogre, Mostly i kept it for centimntal reasons, being my first sicessful solo and a pokemon that i really liked even though it wasnt good.

Now that it has rockslide, what does it do for Aerodactyl? I know it wont come close to tyranitar or Rhyperior, but how well does it preform in ralation to them raid wise and does this help it at all for PvP?

As far as I know, pokemon without stab fast moves hurts. Against Articuno, it ranks lower than Solrock and Lunatone. Maybe towards Fire/Flying combo it has a bigger usage, but neither type is weak to either Bite or Steel Wing.

Rock slide definitely puts Aerodactyl in a better place, albeit still not one where it's really useful. The issue is that it still doesn't have a STAB quick move. Bite and Steel Wing don't do much for it in PvE or PvP; it's pretty heavily outclassed on both fronts.

Aerodactly really needed a rock type fast move more than it did another charge move. Rock Slide is a better move than Ancient Power but Smack Down would have helped it a lot more.
