Rhydon RS/EQ use?

Hello expert trainers,

I just catched a wild 2546cp Rhydon with this moveset. He has quite low IVs (66%) and I don't think I'll waste dust on him as I already have a 2800cp one with MS/EQ.

How do you think he can perform as an attacker (VS Snorlax for ex)?

Thanks in advance to enlighten me on what can I do with this mon (mainly with this moveset which is average ranked for both attacking and defending) ?

He has 2 uses really only.

On attack, snorlax is the only pokemon I would use him for.

On defense, I would only use him if I had a Gym with say a 2500 Gyrados next to a 2700 Gyrados. Splitting up a Gym's weakness to force attackers to swap pokemon is about all you can do.

Rhydon's main use is attacking into Snorlax. With this moveset, that's done just as effectively as with Mud Slap.

From Pokebattler, it seems a simple Vap or Arcanine can defeat Snorlax even without SE much much faster (by like 10 seconds...).

Does anyone else notice this? I don't tend to use Rhydon to attack due to the slow quick move...

A Golem with legacy Mud Shot can do it faster as well and close to the Vap/Arcanine times...

If you are judging on RL Time, go with Alkazham or Dragonite. In fact, if that's your standard, you should never consider if a Pokemon Resists a defenders attacks, just who does the most damage fastest.

However, if you want to judge it on Potion usage, thats where you get a different answer.

Yeah, that's my main game...what is the fastest and most effective in terms of time...

Sadly, I have neither Alakazam (PC/P) nor Dragonite though.

Thinking ahead, this moveset (RS/EQ) would work really well attacking Tyranitars that will be all over gyms after Gen 2 comes out.

Thanks for your input. I'll keep it anyway, he will be useful to KO all those Snorlax in gyms around me.

It's also the higher cp mon I've caught in the wild so it's like a trophy ?
