Rhydon as prestiger vs snorlax

Rhydon is called a softcounter to snorlax, because it has enormous stats and resists two of its three charged attacks.
When presiging, those stats are irrelevant, as you have to use a low-CP-PKM. In addition, for prestiging you have to dodge a lot and Rhydon with its slow quick-attack is not very good for dodging.

I don't expect rhydon to be a good prestiger against snorlax - but i would be glad to read, if someone has tried it.

I haven't actually used it for prestiging, but I have a 1845CP Rhydon (evolved from an egg hatch and not powered up) with rock smash/earthquake and it takes care of high CP Snorlax pretty quick.

I think yours should be decent for prestiging against Snorlax.

Just don't miss a dodge on the charge attack if the defending Snorlax has Earthquake. .......Said from experience.

According to a silphroad/reddit research posted by paisleymon, Rhydon with that moveset is 90 vs. Snorlax out of 894 mons/movesets...(assuming I picked the right tab).

My guess is because Rhydon has an inflated CP rating so he'd be lower level compared to say, Wigglytuff which has lower natural CP. Hypno works good if it has Zen Headbutt since that move actually hurts and will be resisted and more so if dodged too...

Rhydon isn't good prestiging because Mud Slap / Rock Smash have such a long cooldown for quick moves that you can't dodge effectively -- which is basically necessary for battles with large CP disadvantage.
