Revive/Potion ratio

Just checking to see if I am the only person getting an odd revive to potion ratio the last few weeks.
.
I have a lot more revives. Normally I seem to have a good balance so that I can revive, and the max all my battled pokemon with a combo of potions so that I run low on both fairly equally.
.
The last few weeks, I have been short on potions so that I revive and then battle with half health pokemon just to make use of the excess revives. I like having a full team obviously and this is especially annoying when prestiging in which my pokemon are already low CP.
.
Anyone else?

If I was niantic it will be really hard to balance revive and & potions even if you have set to 50/50 it just depends on the player usage and play time.

Think if of this way its better to have revive and no potions and a lot of potions with no revive.

I would actually prefer that. It would encourage me to swap before they faint. As it is now, I am encouraged to suicide any low health pokemon in my last battle so I can at least boost them to 50%. It seems weird to do this as an effective strategy, but who wants to select 10% health pokemon next matchup?

I get what you saying, but I can still function with only revives. You don't know how many times I have tried to switch out a pokemon, only for it to not work, causing the game to stick in my last pokemon to take 1 more hit and then even another pokemon after that...I have lost 3 pokemon trying to switch out 1 more times than I can count.

I do see how it can be difficult to get an equal number because there are 4 types of potions and only 2 types of revives. I can see how those numbers could lead to messed up drop rates.

But I think we can all agree that it is a little absurd to have to spin pokestops for 2 hours just to do a little battling. I feel like Niantic is trying to keep battling to a minimum, but I'm not really sure what exactly that promotes. It seems to help spoofers, who can spin stops all day, a lot more than casual players that just want to battle some gyms. I would love a way to be able to test pokemon out in actual battle without having to worry about how I am ever going to heal them back up.

You can still beat a gym with six revive pokemon with 50% health.

You can't beat a gym with 6 fainted pokemon with 1000 potion

if you power up fainted mons, most of the time they get 1hp. At that point you don't need revives. Just potions.

I do this all the time after leveling up and a gym guy comes back...I have to revive/power up/heal to max anyways so it gets powered up first, then I heal them with a hyper usually or a max if I don't have hyper's left...

Same here, Put it seems to go better to day. Previously i toss lots of potion.

The revive rate is way out of balance. I can get up to 10 revives while spinning 15-20 pokestops.

I thought about dumping my excess revives, but have room in my bag and was thinking, soon it may be reversed and I'll get a lot more potions!

This sounds crazy but when I don't need potions from spins I intentionally leave a mon or two short of receiving their full potions. I swear, I'll then get way fewer potions.

When I have no mons in the "needing potions" category that is when the potion spigot is on.

I agree. Also, the amount of pokeballs is insane, I recive almost 60% of my items pokeballs, and just the regular ones. I´m just pissed with the actual ratio of items.

I'm getting way more revives lately.

I need more potions. And I've been using up revives a lot lately and still have a ton. More potions please.
