restarting during mass evolution

So that's the trick to get more evolutions in 30mins right?
Without that I can get 63-64 evolutions with a lucky egg I think, but with the trick some people get 70-80?
The things is, I don't think my phone can restart the app fast enough. It's a nexus 5X, but the phone has 2 users installed, so that slows it down.
I'm curious to know what phone this trick works/doesn't work with.
