Renaming
How do you rename your Pokemons,
And which Information do you include?
For me i include the Overall iv Percentage and shorcuts for quick and charge moves
For Example: 95,6% Snorlax with Zenheadbutt and Bodyslam would be "96% Zh_Bs".
Some max ask why include the attacks, thats because you dont see them in the gym Selection.
Any improvements?

I nickname my pokemon as follows:
@: good offensive moveset
€: good defensive moveset
&: best off and def moveset
Prestigers:
Ace (eg: Ace Water for a WG-HP prestiger)
I use it like this because when you sort by name they will all end up at the top of your list.
Lastly, I don't add the iv% in the names, because I really don't care what % it is as long as its 82+%.
*e for Electric Attackers
*w for water attackers
Followed by name of Charge Move. Thun, Bolt, Hydro, Tail, Pulse
I like to put hps on at the end. This really lets me do some quick math on potion effeciency. If a pokemon has 139 hps, I know for example 1 review + 1 super + 1 normal = 140. I know if I swap it out before it dies at 10 hps, I'm looking at 3 supers or 1 hyper.
I've now switched nearly all my prestigers to list their CP in the front so 950 CP would be 0950VaporH, etc...(with the moves as well if needed, like 1020ParaseFS).
I like having part of the mon name since it helps with sorting.
I used to list the IVs more, but don't really care that much since it's not needed in day to day play and anything with high IVs are favorited in case of accidental transfer.
I figure always getting that 1000 prestige is more important in my play/time since I prestige often.
My main gym attackers tend to have high CP so I don't use any special names normally, usually just a move abbreviation at the end.
For lower CP or stages, I usually do name and IV. Magi15.14.14 could likely become a gyarados and Drat13.13.13 is soon to be a dragonite.
Prestigers get favorited and some info about their moveset or key detail. CloyFB+B or Clef_DG or PoliFig (double fighting Poliwrath) versus PoliWat (double water Poliwrath).
Top mons just get the name and moves: SnorZHHB. These show up when sorted by CP.
Overall it isn't a universal system but one that gives me complete information. For instance, both my Umbreon have the same moveset, so I see no need to include that. All my Rhydon has Rock Smash (sad but true) so I don't need to include that.
First letter corresponds to attack defense or both which is driven by moveset rankings. Then moveset followed by ratings for attack, defense and stamina.
Perfect Dragonite attacker would be:
A-DBDC151515
For prestigers, I use a "+" to enforce sorting by name, then a letter for the fast move type and the moveset.
Vaporean:
+W-WGAT
My nomenclature is completely crazy haha, summing up:
· First I write an α or a δ if the pokemon is top attacker or top defender, respectively. If it's one of my best defenders i write it with capital letter (Δ)
· I write the 1st letter of the pokemon with capital letter if it has an A offensive moveset or the last one if its moveset is defensive.
· Then, if the iv>82%, I write the iv in the form 100–iv', with iv' being a ponderated iv (i give more importance to the attack iv if i use him to attack or to the hp&stamina if i use him to defend).
· And, finally ?, I write the 1st and last letter of its types of attacks. If they are both stab or stab+normal I omit them. If just one is stab i write the other one. If none are stab i write both. And if one is not stab+normal or stab+normal being a two-type pokemon i write the not normal type: the 1st letter in capital letter if it's quick attack or the 2nd in capital letter if it's charge attack.
I hope you have understood something hahaha
" For Example: 95,6% Snorlax with Zenheadbutt and Bodyslam would be "96% Zh_Bs". "
Those 9 characters can be shortened down to 4.
Snorlax96ZB
I have gone back through and renamed all my prestigers (CP under 1600 with good attacking moveset) so that when sorted by name, they will sort by CP at the top of the list. For example:
129Vapore75A
is a 129X CP Vaporeon with 75% IVs and Water Gun/Aqua Tail.
135Para80BS*
is a 135X CP Parasect with 80% IVs and Bug Bite/Solar Beam, which is a *legacy moveset.
122Tangel84S
is a 122X CP Tangela with 84% IVs and Vine Whip/Solar Beam.
This is already sorting out the attacking movesets, so I don't need any offensive or defensive marking on them.
On high CP pokemon, I leave off the CP prefex because I can sort by CP to get all of my high CP pokemon, and add a suffix of + for offense, - for defense, and & for mixed.
I start with a star. A black star if it has better than defence moveset, and a white star if it has a better than attack move set. If the moveset are both best, I put a black and white star.
Then I put IV
Then I put the abbreviation of moveset.
Then I put the types of the moveset in as I like to know what types the moves are, as I don’t know then off by heart.
So a 100 IV Best attack moveset Bite/Stone edge tyranitar would be
★100%B/SE◑☗
I use pocket keyboard app to put the star and the moveset type symbols, and poke genie for seeing what is best moveset and for IVs
