Red Gyarados silly question

So I'm luckily enough to get this big fish during the water event and it turns out the IV is 0/11/9 only 44.4% but the best movest. DT&HP what would you GUYs do? Power it up or just leave it be as a cool Pokemon.

Level 24 CP 2101

i'll personally consider it a decent attacker. power him up if you feel like you need more attackers

For what it worth not only the candies but also the dust. What's a good attacker cp though?

Lol you have plenty of dust power it up when you get some candies. Stop when it gets to 6K dust cost.

I'd max it out so all could see my red guy at the top of a gym but thats just me

Well, with these poor IVs I'd be surprised that it makes it to the top of a gym... Maybe for a low level gym and for a short period of time.
It's a good rare one. It may be worth to display it because it is a great achievement to find such a rare Pokemon. But realistically, in terms of CP, it will be far below any other Gyarados. Congrats for the catch!

That depends lot on where he lives. I'm in suburbia, and if I go 10 miles in one direction, a 2850 Gyarados wouldn't last more than a few hours in the bottom spot in some gyms, but 10 miles in the other direction, the same Gyarados could rule a level 10 gym for weeks.

If this guy's Gyarados at level 30 or 31 would be relevant in his local gyms, I'd say he should go for it. Even if not, with that amount of stardust in the bank, I'd have some fun with it, and use it as an attacker, and place in gyms when the opportunity arises.

Yeah, of course. I've always promoted playing for fun. So, I would be up for spending dust on something like that. But still, the truth is that any other Gyarados would benefit more from that stardust. Any other Gyarados wouldn't be red. It's totally up to him
