I'm getting the impression that there's a hidden variable, as if the Rayquaza is easy or hard to catch. Sometimes, I get it with an early 'nice' throw, or on the first ball. Other times, it gets out on the first shake for great throw after great throw.
Of course, we should expect diminishing returns on the later throws, but it seems like more than that, especially with a low catch rate. Don't know, curious if the data miners have found anything like this in the code.
But that 35/37 rate is great, congrats. I'm hovering just under 50% after starting out 0/6, currently 12/25.
I've noticed that when I don't particularly care if I catch a Legendary or not, I wind up catching it. Like lately I've been throwing quickly and sloppily or using Pinaps, and I've caught 5 in a row. I also have this bogus theory that Legendaries are easier to catch during the final two weeks of it's run
I'm 15/29. wtf. My account's just cursed by the random number gods.
I did get a 15/13/15 weather-boosted one, so can't really complain, but could have used those 40+ candies that I missed to power him up. I don't see why they need to be so hard to catch if you can do everything right and still get screwed over by the people you occasionally give money to.
