Rayquaza First Impressions & New Raid Bosses
Managed to find a Rayquaza raid today before raids were done for the day. First off, Rayquaza looks awesome as hell, it just looks aesthetically pleasing. :)
My thoughts on the raid battle itself: very easy. It was arguably one of the easiest legendary raid bosses to beat. There were 20 people in the raid lobby, and we beat Rayquaza in like 30 seconds lol. It had DT/O as its moveset, and none of my Pokémon fainted. I sent my Aggron out first, and it was just tanking all of Rayquaza's attacks. Definitely no issues bringing down Rayquaza, if anything, far easier than Groudon/Kyogre. As for catching Rayquaza, also pretty easy. It is airborne, so I did get some shivers from the terror of the Moltres days haha. But, I caught it in my third ball, so no problems there. Sadly, it was 2000 CP, so not the best IVs. Anyone else done a Rayquaza raid yet? Any first impressions you have of it?
Also, anyone seen or done any of the new raid bosses? I saw Jynx and Piloswine, but that was about it. Can't remember if Jynx was T3 or T4, but Piloswine was T3. I saved my free raid pass for the Rayquaza raid, so I didn't get to try out these new raid bosses.

Bear in mind, this is the only other T5 besides Moltres that has had a double weakness. And comparing it to the most recent legends, it has around 80 fewer defense than both Groudon and Kyogre, and lacks an overpowering move that its counters are weak to, like Solar Beam for Groudon, and Blizzard for Kyogre.
So I did. And now that I'm looking at all of those mons stats it kinda makes sense that I did. Ho-oh and Arty both have much higher defense stats than Rayquaza (even Moltres beats it by 14), and (much like Groudon and Kyogre) both had good moves that were super-effective against their counters. Whereas Moltres couldn't do much to the Golems, and on Rayquaza Ancientpower is quite underwhelming. You kinda can barely compare the experience of the Arty and Ho-oh raids to the Moltres and Rayquaza ones.
Very easy, but it defeats ice mons really fast. I regret TMing articuno to Blizzard somewhat. Also very easy to throw at on small phones, vertical movement distance is tiny.
It being a dual-type, it;ll be somewhat easier to catch than Groudon/Kyogre, even if the second type is Dragon (and most of us don't have a gold Dragon Tamer medal). Caught mine, not bad not great IVs.
Also because I love complaining about her this is the one I caught my gf. Between a perfect beldum, EX pass, and this really good Rayquaza, my luck on her account today has just been unbelievable.
