rating for Gengar with Focus Blast right?

On this site, gengar with sucker punch/focus blast is rated as F for attack, and D for defense, but the auto-selection suggested I use a gengar I'd just evolved to attack into a blissey. I was lazy and accepted the suggestion. The result was that Focus Blast really takes a bite out of blissey, and my gengar was able to make the blissey (2800+ CP) feint. Blissey was P/HB. So, it was an ideal match up for my Gengar.
Anyway, I'm wondering how much to take this kind of specific match up in mind when choosing what mon to keep, candy or TM.

The Gengar's page is outdated.

The rankings aren't really relevant anymore with SE being 1.4 and immunities being 0.51x in the game...

Generally, anything with extremely high attack stats like Alakazam, Gengar, are very useful IMO...If you don't have Machamps, then Gengar can fill in if you had like Sucker Punch/Focus Blast...but ultimately, even things like Primeamp, Ursaring, etc...would be better against a Blissey than a Gengar so eventually, unless you wanted to just try it out, you're better off using something else and save Gengar to fight Gengar or other Psychics...

Dragonite is probably still the best generalist due to neutral damage to near everyone...

There are plenty of posts stating that a SC/SB Gengar just dishes out so much damage that it helps a lot on raids...so it's probably still good for that.

i have a sc/sludge bomb gengar that was rusting on the shelf until i was semi forced to use it in a machamp raid (accidental solo raid)

it (gengar) whaled on the poor thing (machamp)
thinking of using a tm to get shadowball.
