Yes, I have the same question.

Because I didn't understand why is the
Parasect a 8.5 and the
Vileplume only 8.

Vileplume has better Max CP, Attack, Defense, Stamina. And even in terms of Move Set they are similar...

So why is the Parasect "better" than the Vileplume?

Agreed, transparency in pokemon ratings on this site would be nice.

I'd rather there be no ratings at all. Prior to the breakdown of CP (and so, knowledge of even what it was) we had ridiculous things flying around on the internet like "most CP per level gain", with tiering based on that.

Ratings is subjective and a bad idea.
