I am looking at investment of new Rare Candy in Dragons to Trying to get team to level 30.5
Best to Invest in Palkia, Rayquaza or ??? I do not think good money is on the Lati#s twins and have my Dragonites to 305 or higher already.
And yes, i am hoping for rain if the answer ends up being Palkia. :) :)
Rayquaza= best offensive dragon in raids << replacable by dragonite
Palkia= best overall dragon by CP, and theoretical power. Falls slightly short due to one bar move limitation in practice. << replacable by salamence but the gap is wider than dragonite v rayquaza
Latios= best balanced dragon for master league PVP/Raid utility
If your needs are for raids, power up either Rayquaza or Palkia. Do Latios if you want PVP power and still a respectable raid attacker.
i'd say for palkia raids, its a tie between palkia and rayquaza.
Palkia has more bulk and a double resistance compared to rayquaza (On pokebattler, there are some moveset match ups where this actually puts palkia as the superior counter to itself) Rayquaza is, in general still the better, but palkia is still a top tier dragon.
Latios isnt as good damage wise for raids, its still a great option though somewhat slower, but in my experience its a bit better as a gym clearer with how fast dracon claw it, also great for PVPin masters
Rayquaza has better average DPS and is a more reliable attacker for raids due to Palkia being limited to a 1-bar charge move. Palkia has its advantages, the double resistances to fire and water are certainly relevant against itself and potentially many incoming bosses in the future.
Overall, I'd go with Ray. But if you're only powering up to 30.5, you can easily do that off of just catching Palkias this month, no need for RC. Especially if you manage to catch one weatherboosted.
If they are trying to build a better team to raid Palkia, they need to choose now.
Ray is better...and not here at the moment to catch and gather Ray candy. Use the RC on Ray now. Catch a bunch of Palkia and use Palkia candy later to power it up....unless you have the hundo Palkia already. Then go with that one.
