Rare candies investing

Aside legendaries, on which Pokemon you spend or would spend rare ??

I spent a little bit (comparatively) on a new Dragonite and a new Tyranitar. Other than that, all the rest have gone to legendaries.

I ONLY use Rare Candies on Legendaries. Anything else can be walked (Legendaries virtually can't be walked). Even a subpar legendary such as Suicune would have them sooner than a Dragonite.

I believe the answer will depend a lot on the region and biome of the player.

For example, DNite are rare for some, where as for others hatching a dratini is about as frustrating and tedious as hatching a Chansey is for me.
Some never see larvitar, while others have plenty of candy to feed up their TRex army.

Basically, everyone will be different on what they choose to spend it on.

All this without considering that some players are swimmimg in rare candy, and so they hold less value than for someone who finds it hard to get them.

What about people like me who don't hatch dratini, larvitar, or chansey? Do I just live in a ponyta/shellder/nidoran/sudowoodo biome?

Dragonite
Blissey
Snorlax

Outside of legendaries those are the best pokemon and rarest to find in the wild. If you to power up multiple mon of these, you'll need rare candy.

I use them in Tyranitar, is the best Dark, you allways gonna need the Larvitar candy, just think the next legends will be Psichic (many of them at least) so, is a must.

Next is Dragonite, but to be honest, i'm thinking to save some Rare Candy for Salamance and Metagross, but sometimes i spend one of two with him. You now good DPS generalist.

Finally, saving for Mewtwo, imo, he is the only legend that you should power up. Other legendary are trophy for me, just thinking in future, next gens have more Psichic so... Any and Shadow Ball with pure Dark Tyranitar is what you need.

When I get over 200 in rare candy I will use it on the lowest candy level high attack pokemon I have to make space, I never let it get below 150.

I haven't used rare candies on non-legendary Pokémon in a long time lol. But, in the scenario that I would, maybe Ampharos, Snorlax, and Porygon. Porygon 2 is the only evolution-item Pokémon I don't have yet, and Porygon rarely shows up, so rare candies can be a good investment for Porygon until I manage to get one with good IVs.

Only legendaries. In the past also invested a few on tyranitar or blissey. I don't earn as many currently. The reason is boredom of raids (once I catch one legendary above 82% don't have motivation to do raids). Also rewards from raids got nerfed and lowered my motivation to raid. So, I have shortage of rare candy. All I have are reserved for mewtwo and I couldn't even max one out

It is suboptimal to invest rare candies in anything else than legendaries.

By walking a larvitar, putting larvitar in gyms and feeding them bananas, you can easily get 3 larvitar candies a day.

On top of that, you can find wild larvitars, hatch eggs, and get candies from raiding Tyranitars.

In 2-3 weeks only, you can easily get enough candies to bring a raided Tyranitar to level 30.

In one year, you can bring more than 20 Tyranitar/Blissey/Dragonite/Snorlax to level 30. That is more than enough. You will quickly reach a point when you have too much candies and the limiting factor is Stardust.

On the other hand, how can you obtain Mewtwo candies? When you get your first one, you want to bring it immediatly to level 30. Then you get a second one with 96iv and you want to bring it to level 39. Stardust is not the issue. Candies are.

What I've spent on so far:
30 or so on Dragonair, to evolve to Dragonite.
Somewhere around 20 on Chansey to evolve to Blissey.
10 on Pupitar to evolve into Tyranitar.

About 4 of them on Bayleef to evolve into Meganium (because I always wanted one).

Always use those on legendaries. 20KM per candy is no joke especially during the winter.
